sick leave

I’m not quite sure how to write this, but I won’t be around here for a while because my husband is sick (he has Crohn’s disease, a chronic stomach condition), is in the hospital and will be having surgery soon.

On a bookish note, I can now recommend Anthony Trollope as good emergency room reading…

I hope the surgery goes well and best wishes for a speedy, uneventful recovery!

I could absolutely see Trollope being good emergency room reading. I spent many hours at Foothills last fall and Georgette Heyer was my author of choice, but that was as a patient, when I needed a good, unchallenging comfort read.
